Mission & Vision

We are on a journey of grace, together in a community called the church.

Our Mission

To glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ.

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”
- Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Tim. 3:16; Ps. 19:7-11; 2 Pet. 1:21; Heb. 4:12; Ps. 119:105)

God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and their eternal relationship of radical selflessness within the Trinity is the model for God’s people today. (John 1:1; John 10:30; 2 Cor. 3:17; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 Cor. 8:6; 2 Cor. 3:17; Eph. 4:4-6; 2 Cor. 1:21-22; John 17:20-23)

The Person of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. (John 3:16; John 1:1; John 14:9; 1 Tim. 2:5; John 8:58; Isa. 9:6; Matt. 1:18 Isa. 7:14)

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine, and proceeds from the Father and the Son, convicting the world of sin, calling man to Christ and fully indwelling and sealing all true believers in Christ until the day of redemption. (John 14:26; Acts 2:38; 1 Cor. 6:19; Luke 11:13; 2 Cor. 3:17; Eph. 1:13; John 15:26)
Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God to enjoy an intimate relationship with God, that man sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and stand in need of redemption. (Gen. 1:27; Rom. 3:23; Rom. 6:23; 2 Tim. 1:9; John 3:3)

Sin and Hell

We believe disobedience to God and transgression of His commands is sin and that all mankind has sinned. The result of that sin is spiritual death and will result in eternal separation from God in a real place called Hell unless they have received the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. (1 John 3:4; Deut. 9:7; James 4:7; 1 John 5:17; Rom. 3:23; Rom. 6:23; 1 John 8-10; Rom. 5:12; John 14:6; Matt. 25:46; Matt. 13:50; 2 Thes. 1:9)

Salvation

We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who trust in Christ alone by faith alone are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God. (John 14:6; 1 John 4:14; John 3:17; Acts 4:11-12; Rom. 3:22-25; Rom. 6:23; John 3:36)

Resurrection

We believe in the literal, bodily, resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead which declares that Jesus is Deity and the only way to the Father. (1 Thes. 4:14; 1 Cor. 6:14; Rom. 8:11; Acts 3:15; Luke 24:5-6; Rom. 4:25; Rom. 1:4; 1 Pet. 1:3)

Ascension

We believe in the ascension of Jesus Christ to the right hand of God the Father in Heaven and His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. (Acts 1:9; Mark 16:19; 1 Pet. 3:22; Rom. 8:34; Heb. 4:14; Heb. 7:25; Heb. 9:24)

Return of Christ

We believe that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will personally return and set up His Kingdom wherein He will rule and reign in righteousness. (Acts 1:11; Rev. 1:7; John 14:3; Matt. 24:27; Luke 12:40; Matt. 25:31-32)

Governmental Authority

We believe that government and civil authority has been instituted by God and we should be subject to that authority. However no human government authority can amend or override the commands of God and when there exists a conflict we are compelled to obey God. (Rom. 13:1; 1 Pet. 2:13-14; Titus 3:1; Ps. 22:28; Acts 5:29)

Eternity

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the blessedness of the saved to spend eternity in the presence of God and the retribution of the lost to be eternally separated from God. (John 5:24; Rom. 6:23; John 3:16; 2 Thes. 1:7-9; 1 Thes. 4:14; Rom. 8:11; Rom. 6:4)

Marriage, Sexuality, and Family

We believe that marriage was ordained by God at creation as the sacred union of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union and that all sexual conduct outside the bonds of marriage is sin as delineated in Scripture. (Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:4-5; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Lev. 18:6-30; Heb. 13:4). We believe that the physical gender in which a person is born is established by God and any attempts to hide, deny, or alter their gender is sin. (Ex. 4:11; Deut. 22:5; Ps. 139:13-16). We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord. Thus all human life is sacred and worthy of protection from the moment of conception. (Gen. 1:26-28; Gen. 2:24; Ps. 127; Ps. 128; Ps. 139:13-16)
